This workshop follows the sold out workshop Rebecca ran on 14 March. We hope people who missed out last time will be able to make it and previous participants are welcome to return. There is talk of starting a weaving group..

Materials we will use include:

JUNE 2025 – You are invited to morning tea

Celebrating 20yrs of Kariong Eco Garden

Kariong Eco Garden (then called Kariong Community Earthcare Garden) was approved by Gosford Council at their meeting on 28 June 2005. It was a project of the Central Coast Community Environment Network (CCCEN – now CEN). Grants were sought and sponsors were found for every fence post.  The garden beds, fruit trees, first shelters, sculptures and the mosaic snake path were created over the next two years and Kariong Eco Garden officially opened on 28 July 2007 as part of a FOOTPRINT FESTIVAL on the site.

To mark the 20 year milestone you are invited to help celebrate at a morning tea and eco-art exhibition on Monday 30 June 2025, 10.30am – 12noon.

Please book in for catering purposes.
Let us know if you would like to bring some food to share on the day.

$20 supporter membership is optional and helps us continue our work for the next 20 years. Other donations always welcome!

ECO KIDS WORKSHOP with Eco-Artist Rachel Bunney
Have you ever noticed how many bird species come to visit or even live in your garden? As we people build more and more houses and take away more and more bushland, the birds have no choice but to come to our gardens to eat, breed and play.  There are big birds and small birds, birds around only at night and lots of birds around in the day. Some birds we love but there are others we wish would go away. Some birds we make into our friends and some are fun to watch play.In this drawing workshop we will talk about the different birds in our neighbourhoods, hear stories and learn ways we can create welcoming habitats for our fine feathered friends.
